Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterans Service Officer to provide crucial support and assistance to veterans during their transition to civilian life. This role requires empathy, strong communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of veteran-specific benefits and services.

Responsibilities

  • Educate veterans about their entitlements and available support structures.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of veterans' applications and service records.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and organizations to facilitate veterans' access to community support resources.
  • Conduct outreach activities to promote available veteran services.
  • Stay updated on best practices in veteran support and transition services.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably working with veterans.
