Home Energy Rater

Job Description

Join our team as a Home Energy Rater, responsible for conducting energy assessments of residential properties. You'll identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance energy performance and promote sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement energy assessment strategies.
• Monitor performance metrics for energy efficiency programs.
• Provide recommendations for government incentives related to energy improvements.
• Lead workshops educating the community on energy efficiency.
• Act as a liaison with local authorities regarding energy regulations.
• Promote the adoption of innovative energy solutions.

Requirements

Education

• A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Architecture or a related field
• Additional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) are desirable

Experience

• Experience with energy-efficient retrofit projects preferred

Technical Skills

• Proficient in energy assessment techniques
• Knowledge of renewable technologies

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Certification
• Certified Home Energy Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with building performance analysis: Knowledge of techniques to assess overall building performance metrics.
