Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Fire Hydrant Operator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate and maintain fire hydrants efficiently to ensure their proper functioning in emergency situations. Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, and maintain fire hydrants in accordance with company guidelines.
• Conduct regular testing and flow-rate checks to ensure optimal hydrant performance.
• Identify and report any issues or malfunctions during inspections.
• Assist in repair and replacement tasks to resolve hydrant issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities.
• Work with team members to optimise maintenance schedules.
• Adhere to all safety protocols ensuring a safe workspace.
• Participate in training to enhance technical skills.
• Stay informed about local fire codes and regulatory changes.
• Engage in community education regarding hydrant operations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience as a Fire Hydrant Operator or similar role is preferred.

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR certification
