Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Railroad Shop Inspector to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring the quality of railroad shop operations and equipment, guaranteeing the utmost safety and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of tools and equipment in the railroad shop.
• Assess safety compliance and quality control measures.
• Draft and submit comprehensive inspection reports.
• Engage with maintenance personnel to address observed issues.
• Maintain knowledge of evolving safety standards and practices.
• Train new employees on safety protocols and equipment usage.
• Work collaboratively with teams to enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor and audit ongoing maintenance processes.
• Utilise inspection tools and reporting software effectively.
• Provide input on the development of safety policies.

Requirements

Education

• Vocational training or certification in railroad shop operations
• Higher education in engineering or a related discipline is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in a railroad maintenance or inspection role
