Material Handling Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Material Handling Technician to join our dynamic team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of material handling equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a similar position, contributing to our high standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test equipment performance regularly to ensure optimal operation.
• Coordinate with suppliers for the procurement of spare parts and equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments on equipment to ensure safety compliance.
• Help design and implement improved maintenance processes.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams regarding equipment status and repairs needed.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification in mechanical or electrical field is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Technical Skills

• Troubleshooting
• Programming Logic Controllers (PLCs)

Certifications

• Forklift Operator Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS): Experience using CMMS for tracking maintenance activities.
