We are currently seeking a Payroll Compliance Coordinator to join our team in York. This role involves ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance with UK regulations. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in payroll processing and an understanding of employment law.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the payroll function for the company.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll runs each month.
  • Conduct thorough checks of payroll calculations and deductions.
  • Liaise with external payroll providers as necessary.
  • Assist in the development of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Provide management with insights on payroll trends and issues.
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies as they arise.
  • Assist with year-end processes and employer compliance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects related to payroll.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • CIPD qualification preferred
  • Payroll Software proficiency Experienced in using payroll systems like Sage or ADP.
  • Microsoft Excel Proficient in Excel for payroll calculations and reporting.
  • Attention to Detail Excellent attention to detail when dealing with payroll numbers.
  • Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Payroll Administration Certification
  • CIPD Level 5
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel features relevant to payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law: Understanding of employment law in relation to payroll processing.
